Seiji Ozawa








Seiji Ozawa is an important and famous all over the world orchestra conductor. Although his parents are japanese, he was born in China, exactly in Hoten, 1935. After suffered an accident in 1952 while he was playing rugby, he decided to play piano to conducting. In 1960, he was good enough to won Koussevitzky Award thanks to his ability to play the piano very well. Next year, he becomes the assistant of Leonard Bernstein, conductor of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra. Then, between 1965 and 1970 he worked as conductor of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, this helps to became the music director of the Boston Symphony Orchestra
